Funeral Services for Mrs. Edith Lucille Linder, age 87, of Livingston will be conducted 2 p.m., Monday, October 3, 2022, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Jerry Harris will officiate. Burial to follow in the Overton County Memorial Gardens. The family will welcome friends on Sunday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at Speck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lucille passed peacefully from this life on Friday evening, September 30, 2022, from the comfort of her daughter's home in the Riverton Community of Fentress County. She was born at home in Overton County Tennessee on August 10, 1935, to the late Osco and Lena Turner Walker. Lucille was known by many for making her fried apple pies. She enjoyed flowers of all kinds, raising a plentiful garden, and listening to Gospel music. Lucille loved her family dearly especially family gatherings where she loved cooking and fellowship.
Lucille leaves behind her sons, Kenneth Linder and wife Melissa of Livingston, TN, and Keith Linder of Livingston, TN; daughters, Linda Norris of Livingston, TN, and Caroly Choate and husband Bobby of the Riverton Community; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sisters, Nell Parker of Chattanooga, TN, Billy Smith of Alpine, TN, and Barbara Walker of Byrdstown, TN.
In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Linder; sons, Charles Mark Linder, and Joe Shoemake; brothers, Buck McCormick and Andy Walker; sisters, Dean Boles, Wilma Faye York, and Jo Hensley; also, grandson, Michael Norris.
