Elizabeth Jeanne Clough (Culver) passed away peacefully Sunday Feb. 8th, 2026, at The Cottage in Livingston, with her children and several grandchildren at her side. She was 92.

 

Born May 3rd, 1933, in Hinsdale IL, to Raymond and Ruth Greer, she spent her childhood and youth in rural Mercer County, IL, growing up with her 3 younger sisters, Rebecca, Ramona, and Rose in the 30's and 40's on a farm.

 

"Libby", her nickname as a girl and young woman, and the Greer family moved to southern Michigan in the 50's for work and college, where she met, courted, and married Wayne Robert Clough from central Michigan. four children followed over the next 9 years; Kathleen, John, Lisa, and Frank.


In 1963, 3 months after Frank's birth, they returned to southern Michigan for Wayne to finish college. Wayne became a teacher and "Liz" now, worked as a secretary and medical office clerk. They lived in michigan until Wayne died way too young from cancer at 48 years old, then 10 months later, daughter Kathy was killed. 

 

Liz moved to Bradenton, FL, following Kathy's death where she worked in a medical office for several years.

 

Liz eventually re-married Jack Culver, and they lived in Clay County until Jack's death from dementia about 15 years ago. Lisa lived with Liz on her small farm in Clay then Liz lived with adopted daughter Julia (Daughter Kathy's baby when she died) for a few years in Indiana. Liz returned to Livingston several years ago, eventually moving into The Cottage at the Overton Health and Rehab about 4 years ago.  She was a faithful member of the Livingston Seventh-day Adventist Fellowship since it's beginning.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Ruth Greer, youngest sister Rose Stoia, husband Wayne Clough, and daughter Kathleen Link.

 

She is survived by two sisters, Ramona Trubey of Cicero IN, Rebecca Twomley McKinney of Berrien Springs, MI. Children Lisa Clough of Muncie IN, Julia Pickett of Bloomington, IN, Frank Clough and John Clough both of Livingston.

 

Numerous grandchildren, including Frank's kids Jacob and Haley Clough, Abby Clough Hammock, and Holly Carter; then John's son Dr. Nicholas Clough all of whom live locally. Adam, Aaron, Shania, Brandon, Bradford, Andrew, Bethany, Bella, and Emma all live out of state. She had 18 great grandchildren.

 

Private family graveside services will be held at a later date in Michigan.
