Speck Funeral Home - Ernest "Boone" Dishman

Funeral Services for Mr. Ernest D. "Boone" Dishman, age 75, of Livingston will be conducted 1 p.m., Saturday, September 4, 2021 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.  Bro. Jerry Savage will officiate.  The family will welcome friends on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of services at Speck Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at a later date.

Boone passed from this life on Monday morning, August 30, 2021 from this home in Livingston, Tennessee.  He was born in Overton County, Tennessee on February 17, 1946 to the late Kenneth M.C. and O.V. Savage Dishman.  A 1964 graduate of Livingston Academy, Boone served as a United States Marine during the Vietnam War.  He enjoyed playing golf, his guitar, corn toss, pool, and pitching horseshoes.  A avid football and basketball fan, and enjoyed NASCAR Racing. 

Boone leaves behind his sons, Dewayne Dishman and Fiancee Ruby, of Livingston, TN, and Douglas Wayne Dishman of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Krystina Marie Dishman, Joshua Garrett, Nokomie Garrett, and Britney Garrett; sister, Brenda Shelton and husband Billy of Rickman, TN; brother, Kenneth Paul Dishman and wife Pat of Alpine, TN; uncle, Jerry Savage of Livingston, TN; aunts, Ellen Joyce Sheilds and Genevie Walker; a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Boone was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Lynn Laycox Dishman, brother, Dannie Dishman; sisters, Linda Lou Dishman, and Janet Walker.
