Funeral Services for Mrs. Eva M. (King) Harris, age 92 of Rickman, will be conducted 2 PM Friday, February 3rd from Harris Chapel Freewill Baptist Church where the body will lie in repose from 12 noon until the time of services. Bro. Rick Lacy will officiate. Burial will be in the Harris Chapel Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Thursday evening from 5 until 8 PM at Speck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Harris passed from this life on Tuesday evening, January 31, 2023, from Livingston Regional Hospital. She was born in Fentress County on June 14, 1930, to the late Byrd and Elsie Richardson King. Eva loved her family, tending to her flower garden, and staying busy. She enjoyed being outdoors, going fishing, and traveling whenever she could.
Mrs. Harris leaves behind her daughters Wanda Krantz and husband Wayne of the Dry Hollow Community and Cynthia Harris of Rickman; son Gary Harris and wife Pam of Rickman; grandchildren Tiffany Krantz, Amanda Harris, Amy Parker, Doug Henry, and Bethany Henry; great grandchildren Eva Grace Honeycutt, Riggins Honeycutt, and Walker Fox; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband George L. Harris; sisters Ermine Cooper, Inis Cooper, Dollie Cooper, and Maggie Smith; brothers Louie Cooper and Ernest King; and great grandchild Graylor Henry.
Pallbearers to serve are Wayne Krantz, Ronnie Smith, Mike Peek, Paul Cantrell, Mark Harris, and Bruce Harris.
Honorary pallbearers are Riggins Honeycutt and Walker Fox.
