Speck Funeral Home - Evelyn Ayers

Mrs. Evelyn Sheets Ayers, age 74, of Livingston passed from this life on Friday afternoon, September 10, 2021 from the Livingston Regional Medical Center.  She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on April 16, 1947 to the late John Henry and Bessie Lewis Sheets.  Evelyn was was a retired Field Training Officer for the Fort Myers Sheriffs Department in Florida.  

Evelyn leaves behind her children, Dawn King, William Prause, and Craig Prause; 4 grandchildren; sister, Rosemary Edinger of Davenport, IA; brothers, John Sheets and Dave Sheets both of Rock Hill S.C., and Bobbie Walter Poertner of Trever City MI; sister-in-law, Pat Johnson of Akron, OH; and special friends, Claudine Vaughn and husband WC of Allons, TN and Kim and Keith Emrich of Livingston, TN.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, John Ayers; and brothers, Garry and Bob Sheets.

A Private Graveside will be held at a later date.
