Frances Martin age 86 of Knoxville, formerly of Overton County, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 5th 2025 after an extended illness. Born in the Timothy community, she was the youngest of her thirteen brothers and sisters. Throughout her lifetime she was an LPN nurse, a factory worker, and helped out on the farm. Her passions and most enjoyments were sewing, crafts, flowers and her Church family where she was a
charter member at Bible Baptist Church in Rickman.
She is survived by son David and wife Tonie, two grand children and three great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents Oliver George and Ether Smith George, and her thirteen siblings.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 9th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Speck Funeral Chapel with Funeral at 7:00 PM with Bro. Tim Wilson bringing the message.
We will meet at the grave site Thursday morning at 11:00 AM, April 10th at Overton Memorial Gardens for anyone that wishes to join us.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Missionary fund at Bible Baptist Church in Rickman.
