Mr. Francis "Frank" Canning, age 67, of Livingston, TN went to be with the lord on Thursday night, July 18, 2024 from the comforts of his home. He was born on April 17, 1957 to the late Francis William and Clara Bodnar Canning in Detroit, Michigan. After completing his bachelor's degree his went on to retire from the Taylor city police department as a lieutenant. During his free time Frank enjoyed expending his knowledge of American history especially that of military aircraft used in during World War II. He also had a competitive streak that was apparent when it came to his Detroit sports teams, and his own shooting sports. Frank had a keen knack for working with his hand, whether that be building cabinetry or fixing a car. He was a proud conservative, and was upset that he would not be getting the opportunity to vote for Trump during the 2024 election. He adored his wiener dogs, and was a proud dog dad. He revered his Irish and Hungarian heritage. Something that Frank wish for everyone to know was the importance of health screenings. Frank kept his sense of humor during his diagnose no matter how hard it got.

Frank leaves behind his loving wife Louise Calcut Canning of Livingston, TN; children Frank Canning and wife Tara of Brownstown, MI, Lauren Canning and fiance Joe of Westland, MI, and Natalie Canning of Rockwood, MI; stepchildren Benjamin Winningham and wife Caycie of Livingston, TN, Jennifer Poston and husband Scott of Livingston, TN, Rebkah Flowers and husband Rusty of Livingston, Victoria Ford and husband Darren of Rickman, TN, Eleanor Scott and husband Kevin of Livingston, and Samuel Winningham and wife Emily of Allons; grandchildren Adam, Linsey, Harrison, Tristian, Jack, Brock, Brayden, Sarah, Aden, Jude, Amelia, Liam, Gabriel, Elijiah, Caitlyn, Seth, Leah, And Sadie; great-grandchild Evalynn; and sister Mary Canning of Alabama.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wife Paula Canning.
