Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Gabriel Scot Krantz, age 46, of Highland Mountain will be conducted 3 p.m., Sunday, December 27, 2020 from the Barn at Bilbrey's Crossing at 119 Rickman Monterey Hwy. Carlie McCowan and Gary Ledbetter will officiate. The family will welcome friends at 1 p.m. until time of services.
Gabe passed from this life on Tuesday evening, December 22, 2020 from the St. Thomas West in Nashville. He was born in Cookeville, Tennessee on September 3, 1974 to Angela Kay Smith Krantz and the late Tony Glenn Krantz. Gabe was a 1992 graduate of Livingston Academy, and a 1996 graduate of Tennessee Tech with a Bachelor of Science. Gabe worked as a Soil Scientist for the MLRA-NRCS, Major Land Resource Area of the Natural Resource Conservation Services. Like his late father, Gabe was a true outdoorsman. He loved farming, fishing and hunting. Gabe's greatest joy was his children and family.
Gabe leaves behind his loving wife of 23 years, Mrs. Amanda Gail Johnson Krantz, Highland Mountain Community; son, Alex Krantz; and daughters, Macie and Jewel Beth Krantz all of the Highland Mountain Community; mother, Angie Krantz of Dry Hollow; grandmother, Elizabeth Smith of Livingston, TN; uncle, Wayne Krantz and wife Wanda; aunts, Pat Krantz, JoAnn Livingston, and Vivian Brown; father & mother-in-law, Wesley and Gayle Johnson; brother-in-law, Brandon Johnson; also several cousins.
Gabe was just recently preceded in death by his loving father, Tony Glenn Krantz.
