Speck Funeral Home - Garry Garrett

Funeral Services for Mr. Garry Garrett, age 79 of Allons, will be conducted 11 AM Saturday, September 11th, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston.  Bro. Timmy Ray will officiate.  Burial will be in Fellowship Cemetery with military services provided at graveside by the Overton County Veterans Honor Guard.  The family will welcome friends on Saturday morning from 9 AM until the time of services at 11 AM.

Garry passed from this life on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, from the Overton County Health and Rehab Center.  He was born in Ohio on October 3, 1941, to the late Yetman Hilrey and Delta Opal Beaty Garrett.  Garry loved history and genealogy, going fishing, and reading about early American history.  

Garry leaves behind his daughter Kimberly Pollak and husband Joachim of Neckarhausen, Germany; son Sam Garrett of Watauga; brother Danny Garrett of Hilham; sisters Nelda Copeland and husband Ernie of Byrdstown; and grandchildren Madison, Dietrich, Cooper, Bernhard, Kennedy, Gunner and Matthaeus; great grandson Rhett.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Garrett was preceded in death by his wife Stella Elaine Garrett and brothers Gerald Garrett and Glyncon Garrett.
