Mr. Gary Lee Cox, age 47, of Rickman, TN passed away on June 18, 2025 from Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Celebration of Life service for Mr. Gary Cox will be conducted on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 4 p.m. from the fellowship hall of Netherland Church of Christ. 

Gary was born in Livingston, TN on March 16, 1978 to the late Horace and Nelly King Cox. Gary was a hardworking and caring man who loved spending time outdoors. He especially enjoyed fishing on Dale Hollow Lake and turkey hunting, passions that brought him peace and joy. A skilled mechanic, Gary spent many hours working on cars, and he never passed up a chance to go 4-wheeling with friends or family. His strong work ethic and generous heart were evident in everything he did. Above all, Gary deeply loved his family and friends, and that love was returned by many. He faced a long, courageous battle with cancer, meeting it with strength, resilience, and grace.

Gary is survived by daughters Ali Cave and fiancé Hunter Sehroeder of Anderson, IN and Harley Cox of Maryland; sister Christina Cox and fiancé Jimmy Dickerson of Rickman and Deana Ford and husband Mike of Livingston, TN; best friends, Steven and Anna Walker of Rickman, TN; a dear coworker David Payne; and a host of beloved coworkers, family, and friends.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents Horace and Nelly Cox.
