Speck Funeral Home - Gary Wayne Handy

A Gathering of Family and Friends in Memory of Mr. Gary Wayne Handy, age 61 of Livingston, will be conducted Sunday, August 14th from 1 until 3 PM from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston.  

Mr. Handy passed from this life on Friday morning, August 12th, from his residence.  He was born in Overton County on January 27, 1961, to the late Donald and Faye Winningham Handy.  Gary loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids and son-in-law Chris.  He enjoyed antique cars, shooting guns, and hunting.

Mr. Handy leaves behind the mother of his children and former wife Cathy Handy of Cookeville; daughter Danielle Hammock and husband Chris of Livingston; sons Andrew Handy and Dakota Handy of Cookeville; grandchildren Cayden, Braxton, and Lexi Hammock, Allyssa and Gabbriella Handy, and Monroe Kate Handy; brothers James Handy of Livingston, Bryant Handy, and Steve Handy; sister Sharon Murphy of Livingston; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Handy was preceded in death by his brothers Roger Dale Handy, Michael Handy, Billy Handy, and Tommy Handy; and sisters Mildred Ann Handy, Sabra Wilson, and Debbie Fields.
