Funeral Services for Mr. Gary Danny Melton better known as "Redeye", age 61, of Monroe, Tennessee will be conducted 1 p.m., Monday, January 30, 2023, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Steven Barlow will officiate. Burial to follow in the Good Hope Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Sunday evening from 5 until 9 p.m., at Speck Funeral Home.
Redeye passed from this life on Thursday morning, January 26, 2023, from his daughters' home in Cookeville, Tennessee. He was born at home in Monroe, on February 20, 1961, to the late Jim and Hassie Mae Melton. Baptist in faith, Redeye enjoyed farming, and horses his entire life. He was always joking and playing pranks on his friends and family. Redeye loved his family unconditionally. He was also good at reading the knowing the almanac signs and predicting the weather.
Redeye leaves behind his daughter, Alicia Melton and fiancé Kyle Bouldin of Cookeville, TN; grandchildren, Luke Tyson, Kaylin Bouldin, and Jake Landon Bouldin; brothers, Johnny Ray Melton of Livingston, TN, June Melton and wife Patty of Byrdstown, TN, Ralph Melton of Livingston, TN, and Terry Melton of Cookeville, TN; sisters, Illa Gaye Gibbons of Anderson, IN, Opal Dean Gift of Anderson, IN, Anna Sue Huckeby and husband Ray of Monroe, TN, and Ina Smith and husband Todd of Monroe, TN.
In addition to his parents, Redeye was preceded in death by his sisters, Jimmie Mae Linder, Billie Faye Sherfield, and Betty Kaye Brooks.
Pallbearers are Kyle Bouldin, Luke Tyson, Matt Melton, Mitch Melton, Cannon Smith and Cody Smith
