Funeral Services for Mr. George A. Cannon, age 82 of Allons, will be conducted 2 pm Monday, October 5th, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston. Bro. Mickey Ledbetter will officiate. Burial will be in the Overton County Memorial Gardens. The family will welcome friends on Monday from 10 am until time of services at 2 pm at Speck Funeral Home.
Mr. Cannon passed from this life on Friday morning, October 2, 2020, from Overton County Health and Rehab Center. He was born in Overton County on November 6, 1937, to the late John A. and Ova Dee Bowman Cannon. He loved his family, spending time with his grandchildren, and was a hard-worker. He had a good reputation as a peacemaker.
George is survived by his son Mark Cannon and wife Lori of Allons; grandchildren Charlotte Aleta Cannon of Cookeville, David Allen Ezekiel Cannon of Cookeville, and Dalton Montgomery Cannon of Allons; sisters Wanda Gore of Rickman and Catherine Allen of Nashville; and brother Doug Cannon of Livingston.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Cannon was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Helen Cannon, sister Betty Neighbors, brother Charlie Cannon, and sister-in-law Betty Linder.
Pallbearers to serve David Cannon, Dalton Cannon, Nick Foster, Michael Brown, Tarren Vaughn, and Roger Lehman. Honorary Pallbearer is Ralph White.
