Speck Funeral Home - Gerald Willeford Obituary

Funeral Services for Mr. Gerald Charles Willeford, age 78, of Hilham will be conducted 12 noon, Thursday, September 8, 2022, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.  Bro. Tommy Harris will officiate.  Burial to follow in the Campground Cemetery.  The family will welcome friends on Wednesday evening, from 4 until 7 p.m. then on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until time of services at Speck Funeral Home.

Mr. Gerald Willeford passed from this life on Monday morning, September 5, 2022, from the comfort of his home, with his loving family at his side.  He was born at home in Hilham, Tennessee on November 6, 1943, to the late Charles and Irene Brown Willeford.  He was a member of the Hilham United Methodist Church since 1952.  Gerald graduated Livingston Academy in 1962.  He went on to graduate Tennessee Tech in 1966 with a Bachelor of Science.  Gerald was a true family man and loved his children and grandchildren.  He enjoyed the quarterback club, and watching John play football, and Wesley at the Quiz Bowl.  Gerald also enjoyed deer and quail hunting, and cattle farming.

Gerald leaves behind his loving wife Rhonda Vaughn Willeford of Hilham, TN; sons, Robert Huckeby and wife Chaya of Hilham, TN, Wesley Willeford and husband Alex Boutwell of Birmingham, AL, and John Willeford and partner Anna Azimi of Hilham, TN; grandchildren, Abbi Huckeby and Austin Huckeby, Aunt Jane Knight of Alabama. Lifelong friend and hunting buddy Joe Coleman, several cousins and special caregiver Denise Burchett.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers to serve are Johnathon Sullivan, Randy Barlow, Landon Amonett, Steven Morgan and Josh Simpson. Honorary pallbearers to serve are Johnny Brown, Richard Brown, Larry Geesling, Johnny Holman, Dennis Sink, David Sink, Jackie Hembree and Joe Coleman.
