Speck Funeral Home - Hallie B. Looper

Private Graveside Services for Mrs. Hallie B. Looper, age, 99, of the Spring Creek Community were held later this week at the Harris Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Mark Loftis officiated.

Mrs. Hallie B. Looper was born in the Spring Creek Community on May 5, 1921 to the late John H. Gragg & Leona Mae Huff.  After her mother passed at age 5, Nora West Gragg became her step-mother.  Hallie passed from this life on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 from the NHC in Cookeville.  She was a member of the Netherland Church of Christ.  Through the years she came to be known by many names---BB, Gran BB, Grandma, Hallie B. Hallie and B...Regardless of which name she answered to, she was loved by all who knew her and she loved all of them.

Hallie leaves behind her daughters, Roberta Looper and husband Larry of the Dry Hollow Community, and Judy Miller and husband Howard of the Spring Creek Community; grandsons, Tim Looper of Missouri, and Jimmy Miller and wife Kara of the Spring Creek Community; granddaughter, Lori Mosley and husband Steve of the Spring Creek Community; 10 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren.  She also had many much loved nieces and nephews. She was also survived by one special sister-in-law, Ellie Lee Woolbright of Rickman, TN.

Upon marrying Clyde Looper she acquired a large and loving 2nd family...This included Betty Harris and husband Luke of the Dry Hollow Community, Clifford Looper and wife Jeannie of Anderson, IN, Joyce Ray and husband Loyt of Monterey, TN, Doris Neal and husband Chet of Cookeville, TN, Mary Swallows and husband Thomas Lee of Rickman, TN, and Melvin Looper of Rickman, TN; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Hallie B. was preceded in death by her first husband, James Howard Smith, and second husband Clyde Looper; oldest grandson, Michael Lee Looper; sister, Ethelene Webb; brothers, Floyd Gragg and wife Bertha, and Lawerey Lee "Pep" Gragg and wife Lillian; several brother and sister-in-laws from the Looper family...as well as many other family members and friends.
