Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Irene Misenhimer, age 84, of Livingston, Tennessee, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the First Christian Church in Livingston, with Rev. James Shenko officiating. Burial will follow in the Overton County Memorial Gardens.

The family will welcome friends for visitation on Friday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., and again on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services, all at the First Christian Church.

Mrs. Irene Misenhimer passed peacefully from her home in Livingston on the morning of Monday, August 18, 2025. She was born on August 12, 1941, in Columbia, South Carolina, to the late Wayman and Tressie Pearl Jaco.

Irene moved to Livingston many years ago with her beloved husband, the late Larry Misenhimer, and quickly became a cherished member of the community. She was a devoted member of the Livingston First Christian Church, where she actively participated in the church choir.

A talented hairstylist, Irene spent over 50 years helping others feel their best through her work in her salon. She had an impeccable eye for beauty—not only in her profession but also in her home. Her house and yard were always meticulously maintained, often likened to a page from Southern Living magazine. She was especially proud of her beautiful flower gardens and plentiful vegetable harvests.

Her greatest joy came from her family. She was an exceptional cook who took great pride in preparing perfect meals for her loved ones, always ensuring every detail was just right.

Sons: Jeff Misenhimer and wife Suzanne of Livingston, TN; Mike Misenhimer and wife Melissa of Mt. Juliet, TN

Grandsons: Jacob Misenhimer, Lucas Misenhimer and wife Caley, Logan Misenhimer, and Samuel Misenhimer, who took special care of his Grandmother.

Brother: Jim Jaco of Lawrenceburg, TN

Sisters: Carol Belew, Lois Smith, Joyce Berryhill and husband T.R., and Brenda Vogel, all of Lawrenceburg, TN

In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death by her infant sister and her loving and devoted husband of 60 years, Larry Misenhimer.

Mrs. Irene Misenhimer will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
