Speck Funeral Home - James Daniel Hoffmann, Jr.

Mr. James Daniel Hoffmann, Jr., age 56, of Alpine passed from this life on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, from the Livingston Regional Hospital.  He was born in Memphis, Tennessee on May 17, 1966, to the late James Daniel Hoffmann, Sr. and Virginia Hobbs Hoffmann.  James served his country as a Marine in the Gulf War.  He worked for many years for the East Tennessee State University.  He enjoyed riding his golf cart, fishing, and being on his pontoon boat on Dale Hollow Lake.  His family, friends, and serving his country were his greatest joys in life.

James leaves behind his sister, Victoria Speck and husband Sandford of Alpine, TN; stepbrother, David Hoffmann of Lebanon, TN; niece, Amy Leigh Speck of Wilmington, NC; great nephew, Rey Speck of Wilmington, NC; and uncle, Stuart Hoffmann of Murphy, NC.

James was preceded in death by his parents, there are no services scheduled at this time.
