Speck Funeral Home - James Lee Ringley Obituary

Funeral Services for Mr. James Lee Ringley, age 85, of Livingston, Tennessee will be conducted 2 p.m., Monday, January 22, 2024, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.  Bro. John Copeland will officiate.  Burial to follow in the Hill & Gunter Cemetery, in the Ivyton Community. The family will welcome friends on Monday from 12 noon until time of services at Speck Funeral Home.  The family ask that memorial donations be made to the Hill & Gunter Cemetery by contacting Speck Funeral Home. 

Mr. James Ringley passed from this life from the comforts of his home in Livingston, on Friday morning, January 19, 2024.  He was born at home on December 17, 1938, in Alpine, Tennessee to the late Bill & Mamie Templeton Ringley.  He was a retired tree surgeon for more than 50 years.  James enjoyed deer and turkey hunting with his sons and grandsons.  He enjoyed going and watching his grandchildren's sporting events.  James had two special granddaughters which he loved dearly, Alexis Ringley and Ashton Hicks.

James leaves behind his loving wife of 52 years, Juanita Keys Ringley, of Livingston, TN; sons, Steve Timmons of Mississippi, and Walt Timmons and wife Sha of Virginia; daughter, Michele Hicks and husband Jarman of Hilham, TN; sisters, Vella Dickerson of Livingston, TN, Olieda Clark and husband Danny of Rickman, TN, and Jean Cunningham and husband Loyd of Livingston, TN; sister-in-law, Kathy Ringley of Indianapolis, IN; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his son, James "Jimmy" Ringley, Jr.; brother, JD Ringley of Indianapolis, IN;  sister, Carolyn Ringley Sells of Livingston, TN; and brother-in-law, Bobby Dickerson of Livingston, TN.

Pallbearers to serve are Steve Timmons, Walt Timmons, James Lee Ringley III, Jarman Hicks, Kyle Ledbetter, Payton Timmons, Justin Timmons, and Tory Trobaugh.

Honorary Pallbearers are Tristan Hicks and Austin Hicks.
