A Celebration of Life for Ms. Jane Ann Officer, age 56, of Livingston, Tennessee, will be at 1 PM at the First Christian Church Saturday January 4th. Rev. Dee Moore Wells will be officiating. Family will receive friends at 10 AM until time of services at the Livingston First Christian Church.

Ms. Jane Ann Officer passed peacefully at her home on the evening of Monday, December 30, 2024. Born in Livingston on May 30, 1968, she was the daughter of the late Judge A.F. Officer and Mrs. Curtis Marie Dodson Officer. From the beginning, Jane Ann was a light to her family, her friends, and her community.

A proud 1986 graduate of Livingston Academy and a 1991 alumna of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Jane Ann was brilliant, compassionate, and full of life. Her greatest calling, however, was being a mother. Jane Ann poured every ounce of her love, strength, and joy into raising her daughter, Beth, who was her heart and soul.

Jane Ann was known for her dazzling smile, her laugh that could brighten any room, and her signature Diet Coke always in hand. She loved the simple yet profound pleasures of life—curling up with a good book, walking along the beach with the waves at her feet, and gathering with family and friends who adored her. Her faith was her foundation, and her church family at the First Christian Church held a special place in her heart.

She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Beth Officer of Livingston, TN; her brothers, Pat Officer and wife Hannah of Cookeville, TN, and Michael Officer and wife Jennifer of Livingston, TN; her cherished nieces and nephews, Patrick Officer and wife Caroline, Jim Officer, Sam Officer and  wife Mackenzie, Kate Pritchett and husband Cade, and Saxton Officer; and a great-niece soon to arrive, Murphy Jane Officer, who will carry her namesake with pride.

In addition to her parents, Jane Ann was preceded in death by her brother, David Curtis Officer.

Jane Ann lived with grace, love, and a steadfast spirit that touched everyone she met. She was more than a mother, sister, aunt, and friend—she was a cornerstone of strength and kindness in the lives of those she loved. Her legacy will be one of faith, family, and the unwavering belief in the power of love.

Jane Ann will be missed beyond words, but her memory will remain a guiding light for all who were blessed to know her.
