Speck Funeral Home - Jean Huckeby

Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Jean Lois Huckeby, age 90, of Georgetown, IN will be conducted 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from the McDonald Chapel Church in Monroe.  Bro. Jerry Myers will officiate.  Burial to follow in the Booher Cemetery.  The family will welcome friends at McDonald Chapel Church.

Mrs. Jean Huckeby passed from this life on Friday, January 1, 2021 from Guerin Woods Health Campus in Georgetown, IN.  She was born April 14, 1930 in Bridgeton, NJ  to the late William and Vivian Barbarisi Ewan.  She was a registered nurse, loved to knit and was a member of Old Capitol United Methodist Church in Corydon, IN.

Jean leaves behind her sons, Frances Robert Thalken of Corydon, IN and Michael Charles Thalken of Vineland, NJ; daughter, Kathleen Ann Hofen and husband Karl of Summerville, SC; grandchildren, Robert Charles Thalken, Jared and Rachel Butler, and Elise Spalding.

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Carnov Huckeby.
