Speck Funeral Home - Jerran Richard Allen Obituary

Jerran Richard Allen, age 43, of Livingston, passed into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, November 4th, 2025, at the Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown in Nashville with his loving family by his side. Jerran was a fun loving guy who had a spirited attitude, often with a touch of sass. He loved his family deeply especially his children.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at First Baptist Church in Livingston on Saturday November 8th at 2 PM with burial following at Maxwell Chapel Cemetery in Hilham. The family will welcome friends to visit on Friday November 7th from 5 until 8 PM at the church and also on Saturday from 12 noon until time for the service. Bro. Matthan Houser and Jeremy McDonald  will officiate the service.

Jerran is survived by the children he adored: Dreyden Allen, Arian Allen, Blaklynn Allen, and Luka Allen. He took the responsibility of fatherhood seriously and always tried to make sure his children were well loved. Jerran is also survived by his mother Carla Holman Gardner and her husband Billy, His father Rick Allen and his partner Pam Tinsley, and his sister Aspen McDonald and her husband Jeremy. Also left to mourn his passing are his aunts and uncles: Doug JR and his wife Crystal Vera Lynn Holman, and Rhonda Wright, nephews Myles & Mack McDonald, special cousins Brandyn Wright, John Wright, Jason Wright, Logan Holman, Dylan Holman, and Morgan Holman. He is also survived by his grandmother Bobbie Gardner and great aunt Linda Ahl. The family would like to acknowledge all of the family and friends who have reached out and shared during this time of grief.

Jerran was preceded in death by his grandparents Doc & Myrtle Allen, Doug Holman Sr, and Betta Marshall, special aunt Connie Miller and uncles Terry Allen and Ray Allen.

Jerran was competitive to the core. You may beat him once, but he would do his best to make sure that was the only time. A natural athlete, Jerran excelled at many sports. His softball buddies and his golfing friends can surely tell many Jerran stories, and most will be told with a laugh or a smile. Jerran loved his music and enjoyed playing the guitar and grooving to the likes Bob Dylan, Red Clay Strays and alternative country. Fishing was also a past time that he enjoyed.

Jerran was saved and baptized at Oak Hill Church in his teens. The family can take comfort that he is in a place of no pain and no tears.
