Jerry "Tommy" Ralph Crabtree, age 84, of Monroe, Tennessee, passed on August 24, 2025, at his residence.

Tommy was born on December 8, 1940, to the late Bob Sweat and Pauline Crabtree. Though his early years were marked by hardship, he was lovingly raised by Maude Wright, who became his keeper and guiding light.

Tommy was a man of simple joys and steady hands. He loved singing and playing guitar, spending time outdoors, fishing, and tending to chores like mowing — always finding peace in the work and beauty of nature. He was also a proud member of the Eagle Creek Masonic Lodge, where he found community and lasting brotherhood.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen Crabtree; his children, Trish Woolums and Tommy Crabtree, both of Monroe; and his grandchildren: Taylor Cunningham and husband Jacob, Tia Young and husband William, Tara Crabtree, and Devin Carmack. He was also a loving great-grandfather to Brody Hall, Christian Young, Gabriel Young, Bowen Cunningham, and Violet Cunningham. He leaves behind his special nephew, David, along with a host of extended family and friends who will remember him fondly.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Bob Sweat and Pauline Crabtree; his sister, Kathleen; and his infant daughter, Lucinda Crabtree.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 29th, at 10:00 a.m. from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sylvester Robbins Cemetery. Bro. David Harris will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 28th, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Masonic Honors beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Pallbearers to serve are Devin Carmack, Randy Woolums, Eric Carmack, and Jacob Cunningham.

Known for his gentle spirit, quiet strength, and deep love for his family, Tommy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
