Funeral Services for Mrs. Jimmie Masters, age 88 of Livingston, will be conducted at 2 PM Monday, September 25th, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Staggs officiating. Burial will be in the Old Union Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Monday from 11 AM until time of services at 2 PM.
Mrs. Masters passed from this life on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from her daughter's home in Monroe. She was a member of the Flat Creek Church of Christ. She loved cooking, watching her stories on TV, and spending time with her family and at church.
Born March 7, 1935, in Overton County, She was the daughter of the late Ermon and Lela (Collins) Almonrode.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James (Corky) Masters, son Wayne Masters, and brothers R.L. Almonrode, Carl Almonrode, and Homer Almonrode.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Rhonda and Jerry Melton of Monroe; granddaughter Renee Melton of Monroe; grandson Jonathan Melton of Cookeville; 2 great grandchildren, Abril Stover and Brixlee Jeffries; sister Juanita Meadows of Cartersville, GA; 2 nephews; and and 3 nieces.
Pallbearers to serve are Jerry Ballard, Larry Brannum, Sammy Burgess, Jesse Stover, and Jerry Melton
