Speck Funeral Home - Joel Copeland

Graveside Services for Mr. Joel Douglas Copeland, age 59, of Livingston will be conducted 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from the Overton County Memorial Gardens.  Rev. Dee Moore and Rev. James Shenko will officiate.  The family will welcome friends on Tuesday evening, from 4 until 9 p.m. at Speck Funeral Home. 

Joel passed from this life on Sunday afternoon, October 24, 2021 from the Livingston Regional Hospital.  He was born in Livingston, Tennessee on December 21, 1961 to the late Sam Douglas and Neda Rose Thompson Copeland.  Joel was a 1981 graduate of Livingston Academy and a member of the First Christian Church in Livingston.  He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing golf, and working.  His best enjoyment was spending time with his family and friends.

Joel leaves behind his son, Jacob Copeland of Portland, TN; granddaughter, Kayla Copeland of Portland, TN; nieces Jordan Welch and husband Jeff, Lora Cothron and husband Bill and son Greyson; mother of his son, Mel; aunts, Mary Belle Jolly, and Jessie Parrott; several cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, Joel was preceded in death by his sister, Myra White.
