A Celebration of Life for Mr. John Charles Yager, Sr., age 72, of Allons, will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from the Allons Baptist Church.

The family will welcome friends on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church.

John passed from this life on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at TriStar Centennial Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, on April 25, 1953, to the late Mr. Charles and Mrs. Virginia Yager.

John loved spending time and being around his family more than anything. John had a deep love for traveling the countryside and found joy in every journey. A true handyman, he enjoyed working on various projects—his own and those of his friends. His favorite place to be was outdoors, especially by the lake, where he found peace and happiness. John was a automotive paint robotics engineer for 35 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Mrs. Mary Lynne Atkinson Yager of Allons, TN.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Jenkins.

John will be remembered for his generous spirit, his love for nature, and his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
