Mr. John Branner Armentrout, age 83, of Rickman, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home on the evening of Wednesday, August 27, 2025.

He was born on February 5, 1943, in Highland Park, Illinois, to the late Ernest Branner Armentrout and Frances Ann Istvaneck Armentrout. After graduating from high school, John married the love of his life, Sandra Kay Angyan. Together, they began building a beautiful legacy, living in Wisconsin before settling in Rickman, Tennessee, where they have spent the past 25 years.

John enjoyed a long and successful career as a car salesman, a profession in which he truly excelled. A passionate NASCAR fan, his favorite driver was Matt Kenseth, a fellow Wisconsin native. While living in Wisconsin, John found great joy in fishing and spending time outdoors, always appreciating the beauty of nature.

He loved to travel and cherished every moment spent with his family and beloved fur babies. His family was his greatest pride and joy.

John is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Sandra Armentrout of Rickman, TN;

Also surviving are his sister, Mary Lynn Justman, and husband David of Juneau, WI; and nephew, Michael Bauer, and wife Kristene.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his beloved grandson, John Gardner Armentrout.

John will be remembered for his kind heart, his love of family, and his passion for life. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Services will be held in Wisconsin at a later date.
