Speck Funeral Home - Joseph Adam Emrich

Mr. Joseph (Joe) Adam Emrich of Livingston TN, passed from this life into the presence of his Savior on April 18th, 2026, just one day after his 89th birthday. 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday April 23rd 2026 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home at 2 PM. The family will welcome friends to visit and share on Thursday from 12 noon until 2. Burial will be at Overton Memorial Gardens in Livingston. Marc, Keith, and Mitchell Emrich will be leading the services. The family will have the honor of serving as pallbearers.

Joe was born in Memphis TN to William Henry Emrich Sr. and Beatrice Perryman Emrich on April 17th, 1937. The family lived in Tyronza, Arkansas, before settling in Kenton, TN, where Joe graduated high school and met the love of his life, Carolyn Howell Emrich, whom he married on August 13, 1957. Joe operated his floral wholesale business for many years before retirement. His hobby was working in his yard, mowing, trimming, and clipping. He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Livingston, where he served on various committees and as a deacon, Sunday School teacher, and choir member.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers: Charles, Bill, and Perry Emrich.

He is survived by his wife of almost 69 years, Carolyn; sons Marc Emrich (Lou Anne) and Keith Emrich (Kim); daughter Amy Beth Emrich; grandchildren Johnathan Emrich, Rebecca DePolitte (Ben), Matthew Emrich (Sydney), Victoria Emrich, and Mitchell Emrich (MiKayla); great grandchildren Jacob DePolitte, Olivia DePolitte, Blakely Emrich, Margo Emrich, and Joseph Jay (J.J.) Emrich who is expected to make his appearance to the world in June 2026.
