Funeral services for Ms. Juliet Kim Garrett, age 65 of Livingston, will be conducted 2 PM Friday, April 9th, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston. Bro. John Keith, Bro. Chris Coil, and Ivan Coil will officiate. Burial will be in Garrett Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Friday from 12 noon until the time of services at 2 PM.
Juliet Kim Garrett was born on February 13, 1956, in Akron, Ohio, to Edwin and Peggy (Robbins) Garrett. The family moved back to Overton County when Kim was five years old, where she lived the remainder of her life.
Kim is survived by her beloved father, Edwin Garrett, her brother Marty Garrett and wife Lounetta, and sister Lisa Coil and husband Chris all of Allons. Kim is also survived by nephews Stephen Garrett (Jamie), Russell Garrett, and Ivan Coil, niece EmmaClaire Coil, along with great nephews and nieces Carter, Wesley, Cooper, and Savannah Garrett. Kim is also survived by her aunts, uncle, and several cousins that she dearly loved. Kim was preceded in death last year by her mother, Peggy Garrett. Kim was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Dewey and Vallie Robbins and Booz and Ove Garrett. She will be greatly missed by her dear friends Patricia (McDonald) Gore, Renee Priest, and Candace Behrens.
Kim was a member of Allons Baptist Church. She also attended Trinity Assembly in Algood for many years. She loved being a part of the "Singles" class at Trinity. Kim was a 1974 graduate of Livingston Academy. She has maintained life-long friendships with many of her classmates, and loved sharing in their joys and accomplishments. Kim attended Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, and Tennessee Tech University. Kim worked as a cashier at Wal-Mart in Cookeville for many years. Long after she was unable to continue working due to her health struggles, Kim maintained close friendships with many of her co-workers and would frequent the store often just to see her friends.
Kim will always be remembered for her joy of life, love of people, especially children, and her unforgettable smile!
Pallbearers to serve are Stephen Garrett, Russell Garrett, Carter Garrett, Wesley Garrett, Cooper Garrett, and Ivan Coil. Honorary Pallbearers are EmmaClaire Coil and Savannah Garrett.
