With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mrs. Betty June Bilbrey, age 83, of Livingston, who went to be with the Lord on Sunday evening, February 16, 2025, at the Livingston Regional Medical Center. June was born on October 30, 1941, in the warmth of her home in Alpine, Tennessee, to the late William and Dorthy Mae Brown McCormick.

A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, June had a deep love for her family that shone brightly in everything she did. Her gentle spirit and warm heart were known by all who had the privilege to know her. A dedicated seamstress, June worked for many years in Livingston, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. She will always be remembered for her passion for life, her devotion to her family, and, of course, for savoring a good cup of coffee.

June is survived by her beloved son, Michael Bilbrey and his wife, Pam, of Livingston, TN; her grandchildren, Jessica Spivey, Matthew Bilbrey and his wife Bridgett, Alan Bilbrey, and Breanna Bilbrey; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Maddox, Camryn, Olivia, Beckam, Miach, and the soon-to-arrive Murphy Paige. She will also be deeply missed by her sisters, Billie Smith and Barbara Walker.

Preceding her in death were her loving husband, James Edward Bilbrey; her son, James Guinn Bilbrey; her brothers, James and Buck McCormick; and her sister, Ruth McCormick.

A memorial service in celebration of June’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place at a later date in the peaceful Eckels Cemetery.

In honoring June’s memory, her family takes comfort knowing she has left a lasting impact on their hearts, and her love will continue to surround them.
