Speck Funeral Home - Kendel “Ken” L. Smith

Funerals Services for Mr. Kendel “Ken” Smith, age 83, of Monroe will be conducted 2 pm Monday, July 13, 2020, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston. Bro. David Beaty will officiate. Burial will be in Beaty Cemetery with military honors provided at graveside by the Overton County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will welcome friends on Monday from 11 am until time of services at 2 pm.

Mr. Smith passed from this life on Friday evening, July 10, 2020, from St. Thomas West in Nashville. He was born on August 28, 1936, in Overton County to the late Richard Lansden and Mary Veatrice Smith. He enjoyed watching football, going bird hunting, and the farm life. He enjoyed working with tractors and cattle and spending time with his family. 

Mr. Smith leaves behind his brothers Richard Smith and wife Sue and Larry Donald Smith and wife Thelma all of Monroe; sister in law Mary John Smith of Monroe; brother in law Larry Pierce of Monroe; and a host of nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his brothers Randall Smith and Ronald Smith; sister Donna Sue Pierce; and sister in law Georgia Smith.
