Speck Funeral Home - Kennith Howard Webb Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Kennith "Kenny" Howard Webb, who peacefully left us on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at the Overton County Health and Rehab Center at the age of 89. A private graveside service will be held for family to honor his memory.
Kenny was born in Overton County, Tennessee, on October 19, 1935, to the late Herman and Hannah Poston Webb. His life was marked by his unwavering dedication to family, community, and country. He proudly served in the Army National Guard of Tennessee and the Army Reserve from 1953 until 1961.
Kenny was a man of the outdoors, with a lifelong love for fishing and hunting. He found peace and joy in nature, always appreciating the simple pleasures that it offered. His passion for sports was also a defining part of his character—he was a loyal supporter of the Livingston Academy football and basketball programs, where his commitment and enthusiasm were unmatched. In the fall of 2024, he was humbled and honored by his induction into the Livingston Football Hall of Fame.
In his personal life, Kenny’s devotion to his family was evident in everything he did. He and his beloved wife, Jimmie Webb, celebrated 66 years of marriage on July 25, 2025. Together, they raised two daughters, Myra West and her husband, Mike, and Beth Webb Johnson. Kenny’s love extended to his grandchildren, Brad West, Clint West, Jazmine West, Ethan Johnson, and Chloe Johnson, all of whom brought him immeasurable joy.
Kenny’s legacy is also carried on by his many nieces, nephews, and friends, each of whom he touched with his kindness and generosity.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kennith "Kenny" Webb, Jr., as well as his brothers Johnie and Dempsie Webb, and sisters Edith Webb, Gladys Biddle, Sue Anna Brock, and Betty Sells.
