Speck Funeral Home - Kent Layton Arehart Obituary

The family mourns the passing of Kent Layton Arehart, who passed from this life in the comfort of his home in Livingston, on July 12, 2023. He was born on October 23, 1958, to the late Gene R. and Romna J. Lindall Arehart.

Later in life, Kent obtained his master's degree which he was extremely proud of himself for. He enjoyed working in his vegetable garden. He had a passion for fishing, especially bass fishing, that he shared with his nephew. Kent decided to move to the Upper Cumberland once he retired. The reason he did this was because he fell in love with the area when he was younger. From that point on he knew he wanted to spend his golden years in this area. Family members describe him as a real man.

Kent is survived by sister Karen and husband Paul of New Mexico; niece Sarah of Colorado; nephew Michael of Texas; great-niece and nephews Connor, Natalie, Sean, and Jack; great-aunt Shirley Jacoby of Colorado; and cousin David Jacoby of Colorado.
