Speck Funeral Home - LD Franklin

Celebration of Life Services for Mr. LD Franklin, age 85, of Livingston, will be held 3 p.m., Saturday, April 3, 2021 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.  Rev. James Shenko will officiate.  Burial will be held at a later date at the Hill Gunter Cemetery.  The family will welcome friends on Saturday from 1 p.m. until time of services at 3 p.m. at Speck Funeral Home.

LD Franklin passed from this life on March 30, 2021 at Livingston Regional Hospital.  He was born in Alpine, Tennessee on January 1, 1936 - the 10th of 11 children - to the late Andy and Hattie Sells Franklin.  LD enjoyed spending time outdoors walking in the woods.  He enjoyed sports - especially football.  His grandchildren were the light of his life.  

LD leaves behind his wife, Judy Savage Franklin of Livingston, TN; son, Scott Franklin and wife Lesia of Livingston, TN; daughter Lesa Franklin of Nashville TN;  two grandchildren, Beverly Brown and husband Bobby of of Hilham, TN, and David Franklin and wife Meg of Lebanon, TN; 3 great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Brown, Bailey Brown, and Landon Franklin.

In addition to his parents, LD was preceded in death by his brothers, Price Franklin and wife Myrtie, Joe Franklin, Ray Franklin and wife Jewel, Bud Franklin and wife Thelma, Leroy Franklin, and Charles Hue Franklin and wife Polly; sisters, Ola Coffman and husband Howard, Edith Franklin, Zola Franklin, and Nola Franklin.
