Mr. Larry Dale Keisling, 82, of Ringgold GA and formerly of the Summer Shade community in Overton County, passed away at an extended care facility in Ringgold GA on Wednesday December 17th, 2025. A veteran of the United States Air Force, Dale was a man who spent a life of acquiring knowledge and sharing that knowledge. 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday December 27th at 12 noon from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston Tennessee with Overton County military honors. Burial to follow at the Martin Cemetery in Allons.  The family will welcome friends at 10 am on Saturday until time for the service. Brother Thomas Hale will be officiating the services. 

Dale was born on November 7th 1943, to the late Bethel Ray "Babe" and "Roxie" May (Connor) Keisling in rural Overton County TN. Dale is survived by 12 nieces and nephews, two brothers; Jerry and Harold Keisling, and many grand nephews and nieces. Dale was preceded in death by his parents and an older brother Cleatis "Ray" Keisling.

Dale spent many years as a teacher and retired from the Overton County Schools. He taught in Overton County for 27 1/2 years. Dale taught Florida, Alabama, New Mexico, and Tennessee. Dale received his Bachelor of Science degree from Tennessee Tech in Cookeville TN. Dale received a Master's of Science degree in Elementary Education from Troy State University in Troy, AL. He completed graduate work at the University of Alabama and University of Tennessee. Dale became a born-again Christian on September 9, 2007 after accepting Jesus as his savior. Dale was proud of his family and their service time in the military. Dale was stationed in Alaska and Alabama during his military service days. Dale was proud of his Irish heritage and his ancestors who came to America and fought with George Washington, the War of 1812, and the Union Army in the Civil War. Dale wanted to extend a special thanks to his sister Jan Linck, his brothers Jerry Keisling and Harold Keisling, his pastor and members of the Allons Baptist Church.
