Lura M. (Taylor) Richardson, 91, of Anderson, passed away peacefully at her home on June 5, 2022. She was born on May 20, 1931, in Overton County, Tennessee, the daughter of Hobert and Bessie (Harvey) Taylor.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Lura was a member of Columbus Avenue Church of Christ in Anderson, IN, where she taught bible class to the 4-5 year olds for over 50 years. She liked to cook, garden, sew, quilt, and read, but most importantly she loved to spend time with her family.
Lura is survived by her loving daughters, Edie (Jimmy) Hodges, Debbie Archer, and Cristy (John) Owens; grandchildren, Jimmy Lee Hodges, Jennifer Hodges, David Archer, Donovan Archer, Kaitlyn Owens, Bethany Owens-Lucas, and Matthew Owens; and six great-grandchildren. Also, surviving are two sisters, Irene Taylor and Mary Duke, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arlie D. Richardson; son, James Michael Richardson; son-in-law, Donald Archer; five brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2022, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson, IN.
Services will follow visitation at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Brother Jim Harrison officiating.
Graveside services will take place on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at 10:00 am in the Miller Cemetery off Heard Ridge, Overton County, TN.
