A Celebration of Life for Mr. MJ Dickson, age 88, of Algood, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Jerry Harris and Bro. Roger Walker will officiate.

The family will welcome friends on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m., at Speck Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Dickson passed peacefully from the comfort of his home on Sunday afternoon, August 3, 2025. He was born in Livingston, Tennessee, on April 3, 1937, to the late James and Anna Copeland Dickson.

MJ had a deep love for fishing and spent countless hours enjoying every fishing spot he could find. He also took pride in his work with families across the Upper Cumberland region, serving many years in the insurance industry.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Mrs. Beverly Irene Masters Dickson of Algood, TN.
Daughter: Linda Honeycutt and husband Carl of the Spring Creek Community.
Sons: Jackie Dickson of Cookeville, TN, and Chris Melton and wife Lisa of Cookeville, TN.
12 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren.
Brothers: Ed Dickson and wife Martha of Rickman, TN, and Gary Dickson and wife Teresa of Tullahoma, TN.
Several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

In addition to his parents, MJ was preceded in death by his brothers, Corkey Dickson and Mike Dickson.

He will be remembered for his warm spirit, generous heart, and unwavering love for his family and community.
