Funeral Services for Mrs. Marie McDonald Smith, age 92, of Livingston, Tennessee will be conducted 2 p.m., Sunday, June 9, 2024, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.  Bro. John Copeland will officiate.  Burial to follow in the McDonald Family Cemetery.  The family will welcome friends on Saturday from 5 until 8 p.m., then on Sunday from 11 a.m. until time of services at Speck Funeral Home.

Mrs. Marie passed from this life on Thursday afternoon, June 6, 2024, from the comforts of her home in Livingston.  She was born in the Ivyton Community on March 20, 1932, to the late Haskell and Lena Ledford McDonald.  She was a member of the Livingston First Baptist Church.  She enjoyed fishing, shopping, gardening and canning.  Her greatest joy was her family and spending every moment she could with them.

Marie leaves behind her daughters, Carolyn Hammock and husband Charles of Monroe, TN, and Sandra Hoover and husband Don of Troy, MI; grandchildren, Tenae Shipley and husband Jim of Knoxville, TN, John Hammock and wife Christin of Hendersonville, TN, Beth Hammock of Hermitage, TN, Mickey Ledbetter and wife Lori of Allons, TN, and Corey Ledbetter and wife Shauna of Spring Hill, TN; great-grandchildren, Blake Ledbetter, Shaela Ledbetter, Kaiden Ledbetter, Kolton Ledbetter Faith Shipley, Grace Shipley, John Mark Hammock, and Mary Kate Hammock; brother, Garry McDonald and wife Carol of Alpine, TN; son-in-law, Leo Ledbetter of Alpine, TN. and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck Smith; daughter, Barbara Jean Ledbetter; infant son, Tommy Hoover; brothers, Luther McDonald and Bill McDonald; and sisters, Helen Smith, and Lucille Ledbetter.

Pallbearers to serve are Mickey Ledbetter, Corey Ledbetter, John Hammock, Gary Frank McDonald, Coy Padgett, and Derrick Harris.

Honorary Pallbearers are Blake Ledbetter, Kaiden Ledbetter, Kolton Ledbetter, and John Mark Hammock.
