Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Marilyn Faye Dishman Stephenson, age 71, of Livingston will be conducted 2 p.m., Monday, September 9, 2024 from the Speck Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Danny Staggs will officiate. 

Marilyn passed from this life on Thursday night, August 29, 2024 in the comfort of her home. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 8, 1952 to Mae Poston and the late Bobbie Poston.She graduated from Cookeville High School. In her early life she showed horses, and enjoyed riding them immensely. She was always ready to travel whenever the opportunity presented itself. Whether that be family trips to Disney, going to watch her nieces at sporting events, or her regular trips to Las Vegas with her cousin Pam. She loved playing darts, bowling, and quilting with her mother. She retired from Tutco where she made many lifelong friends.  

She leaves her husband, David Stephenson of Livingston, TN; mother, Mae Poston of Livingston, TN; step daughter and step son Melanie Brown of Livingston, TN and Michael Dishman of Livingston, TN; nieces, Samantha Johnson & husband Daniel of Cookeville, TN & Malinda Seber & husband Robert of Cookeville, TN; and great-niece and great-nephew, Maddie Mae Seber & Simon Esco Johnson.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband Johnny Van Dishman, father Bobbie Poston, sister Sheryl Beatty, and brother-in-law Jimmy Beatty.
