Speck Funeral Home - Mary Helen Apple

Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary Helen Wright Apple, age 98, of Livingston will be conducted 2 p.m., Monday, September 21, 2020 from the Livingston Church of Christ.  Bro. Jon Ledbetter, and Bro. Chris Coil will officiate.  Burial to follow in the Smith County Memorial Gardens.  The family will welcome friends on Monday morning from 11 a.m. until time of services at the Livingston Church of Christ.

Mrs. Apple passed from this life on Friday morning, September 18, 2020 from her home in Livingston.  She was born April 12, 1922 in Smith County, Tennessee to the late Robert Marion & Lela Lamoine Reasonover Wright.  Mary Helen was a 1940 graduate of Smith County Highschool, and a member of the Livingston Church of Christ.  She loved flowers, gardening, her show horses, cooking and was very involved in the Livingston Church of Christ.  Mary Helen's true love was her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Mary Helen leaves behind her daughters, Lamoine Parsons & husband Buckie of Livingston, TN, and Elaine Long & husband Curtis of Livingston, TN; daughter-in-law, Rita Apple of Carthage, TN; grandchildren; Beth Parsons, Katie Bilbrey, Mellissa Copeland, Buck Parsons & wife Mary Ellen Parsons, Lela Long Davidson & husband Eddie, Curt Long & wife Connie, Carrie Long Loghry & husband Steve, Lori Apple-Gibbs & husband Elston, Amy Apple, and Makenzi Leigh Apple; great-grandchildren, Jackson Parsons, Makynna Bilbrey, Katie Beth Bilbrey, Jayse Copeland & wife Shaina, Sydnie Copeland, Brody Parsons, Cale Parsons, Abigail Davidson, Daniel Davidson, Anna Davidson, Josh Long & wife Alex, Olivia Long, Isaac Loghry, Dalton Loghry, Jaden Apple-Gibbs, Jakodi Gibbs, Ivee Gibbs, Aspen Gibbs, and Apple Gibbs, and Kaelyn Ward; great-great-grandchildren, Memphis Everett Greenwood, Brentley Long, and Lucy Long; sister-in-law, Joy Wright of Rome, TN; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mary Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Freeman Apple; son, Donnie Apple; brothers, Coleman Wright, Rob Wright, Jake Wright, Horce Wright, Carmack Wright, and Dewitt Wright; sisters, Gladys Wright Austin, Irene Wright, and Naomi Wright.
