Mrs. Mary Rose Gore, age 70, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born on January 3, 1955, in Celina, TN, to the late Lester and Eula Spear.

Mary Rose was a woman of great warmth and devotion, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Above all, she cherished her family. She was a proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren knew no bounds. She also held a special place in her heart for her lifelong companion, Eddie Rich, and her cherished sisters, Vickie Garrett and Sheila Christian (Truman).

In her spare time, Mary Rose found joy in many simple pleasures—gardening, cooking, canning, and collecting beautiful jewelry. She had a keen eye for treasures, often spending time at yard sales and creating memories with her loved ones. A true caregiver at heart, she was always ready to lend a hand to those in need, offering love and support to her family and friends.

She is survived by her beloved grandmother, Geneva Blakely; her children, Steve Rich and Mark Rich; her grandchildren, Justin Rich (Destiny), Zachary Rich, Julia Reeder (C.J.), and Kendall Rich; her great-grandchildren, Waylon, Carson, Easton, Lennon, Jackson, Liam, Landon, and Jackson; special cousins, Jackie Hedgcoth and Sue Martin; special great-nephew, Kanton Deloy Garrett; and many extended family members and friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

Mary Rose was preceded in death by her son, Tony Rich; brothers, James Ledbetter and Joe Spear; sisters, Barbara Brown, Virginia Jones, Doris Isabell, Nina Kay Spear, and Mini Rose Ledbetter; and brother-in-law, Joe Garrett.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 2:00 pm from Speck Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Jordan Danner officiating. Burial will follow at Rich Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at the funeral home from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday, February 21, 2025.

Serving as pallbearers are C.J. Reeder, Justin Rich, Zachary Rich, Billy Isabell, Garon Garrett, and Robert Owens.

Mary Rose's legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to family will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
