Speck Funeral Home - Mary Lou Eldridge

Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary Lou Fletcher Eldridge, age 93, of Cookeville will be conducted 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.  Bro. Rick Reeder will officiate.  Burial to follow in the Martin Cemetery.  The family will welcome friends on Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m., then on Wednesday from 12 noon until time of services.  

Mary passed from this life on Sunday evening, June 27, 2021 from the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.  She was born in Overton County, Tennessee on November 14, 1927 to the late Frank and Pearl Reeder Fletcher.  Mary Lou was a member of the Whitson Chapel Church of Christ.  She enjoyed tending to her roses and raising a garden.  

Mary Lou leaves behind her brother, Leon Fletcher and wife Judy of Livingston, TN; sister, Becky Ardith Billingsley and husband Bob of Cookeville, TN; nephews, Kevin Fletcher, Chuck Billingsley and wife Bethany, and Michael Billingsley and wife Rachel; great nephew, Austin Billingsley; great nieces, Hannah Billingsley, and Sarah Beth Billingsley.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Eldridge; brothers, Delton, Clifton, Lawton, and Cleston Fletcher; sister, Rosie Pauline Fletcher; and sister-in-law, Mary Fletcher.

Pallbearers to serve are Mike Billingsley, Austin Billingsley, Cleston Daniels, Phillip Reeder, Jeff Reeder, Joe Ferguson, Chuck Billingsley and Shirley Billingsley.
