Speck Funeral Home - Mary Ruth Thrasher

Graveside Services for Mrs. Mary Ruth Taylor Thrasher, age 81, of the Heard Ridge Community will be conducted 1 PM, Wednesday, November 24, 2021 from the St. John Cemetery.  Bro. Kevin Strong will officiate.  Family and friends are invited to meet at the chapel of Speck Funeral Home from 9 AM until 12 PM on Wednesday.

Mrs. Mary Ruth passed from this life on Tuesday morning, November 23, 2021 from the comfort of her home.  Ruth was born in Pickett County, Tennessee on September 3, 1940 to the late William and Ezell Taylor.  She worked for many years as a seamstress.  Ruth enjoyed sewing, working in her many orchards, and going to church.  Her greatest joy was her family who she loved dearly.

Mary Ruth leaves behind her son, Joe Lee Thrasher and wife Lesia of Monroe, TN; grandsons, Brad Thrasher of Algood, TN, and Brent Thrasher and wife Kirstie of Monroe, TN; granddaughter Stefanie Thrasher of Cookeville; great-grandchildren, Olivia Thrasher, and Logan Thrasher; brother, Willie Taylor and wife Linda of Monroe, TN; sister, Patsy Waddell of Livingston, TN.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Tommie Thrasher; and brothers, Tommy Taylor, and Eddie Dean Taylor.
