Michael "Rip" Wayne Allred, age 67, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025. His funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Jeff Monday will officiate. Burial to follow in the Overton County Memorial Gardens.  Family will welcome friends on Sunday, April 27, 2025 from 1 p.m. until time of service.

Michael "Rip" was born in Detroit, MI on July 15,1957 to the late Wayne and Myrtle Eldridge Allred. Rip found joy in fishing on Dale Hollow Lake and spending time camping in the great outdoors. In his younger years, he was passionate about playing football, and as the years went on, he became a devoted fan of the Detroit Lions.

Rip is survived by his children Tabitha Matheney of Warren, MI, Andy Allred and wife Ashley of Livingston, TN, and Amy wright and husband Chris of Baxter, TN; grandchildren Ean Cox, Parker Cox, Fiona Tranchmontagne, and Armour Allred; brothers Mark Allred and wife Kathy of Livingston, TN and Marvin Allred and wife Amy of Hilham, TN.

In addition to his parents Rip was preceded in death by his wife Debbie Matheney.
