Funeral services for Mr. Michael Douglas Sullivan, age 70, of the Holly Springs Community, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Bobby Gore and Bro. Danny Scott will officiate. Burial will follow in the Holly Springs Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., and again on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of services.

Mike passed from the comforts of his home on Sunday, July 13, 2025. He was born in Livingston, Tennessee, on November 17, 1954, to the late Arthur "Buster" and Anna Lee Myers Sullivan. A 1972 graduate of Livingston Academy, he went on to serve his country in the National Guard. Mike was a devoted member of the Holly Springs Church of Christ and served his community for 37 years as a Big Line Foreman with the Upper Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation.

An avid outdoorsman, Mike loved hunting—especially with his beagle dogs—and found joy in nature. In his later years, he cherished traveling with his beloved wife of 51 years, Kathy Jackson Sullivan, with Aruba being a favorite destination. Their marriage was a true testament to love and partnership, and it brings comfort knowing they are now reunited just days before what would have been their 52nd anniversary on Monday, July 14, 2025.

Sister, Linda Fay Brown and husband Jim of Birmingham, AL

Mother-in-law, Birdie Jackson of the Holly Springs Community

Sisters-in-law: Billie Rooker and husband Tommy of Livingston, TN, and Bonnie Sullivan of Jamestown, TN

A host of beloved nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Kathy Jackson Sullivan; and his brother, Pat Sullivan.

Mike’s legacy of hard work, dedication, and love for his family and community will be remembered always.
