Speck Funeral Home - Norma Ruth Brown

Graveside Services for Mrs. Norma Ruth Little Brown, age 88, of Cookeville, Tennessee will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2023, from the Little Family Cemetery located at the Smith Chapel Church in Monroe, TN.  The family will welcome friends at the graveside.

Mrs. Norma Ruth Little Brown passed from this life on May 31, 2023, at Wilson Manor Assisted Living in Lebanon, TN.  Ruth was born on July 24, 1934, in Monroe, TN to the late Huey and Nan Fletcher Little.  She was a 1954 graduate of Livingston Academy and 1958 graduate of Tennessee Tech.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cookeville, TN.  Ruth was a kind, sweet, beautiful, brave and loving person who lived her life with grace and faith.  She was a wonderful example for all of us and will live in our hearts and memoires forever.  

She will be dearly missed and was genuinely loved by her 14 nieces and nephews and numerous great, great-great, and great great great nieces and nephews.  She will be fondly remembered by neighbors and friends, in Portsmouth, Virginia, Livingston, Cookeville and at Wilson Manor in Lebanon, TN.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Brown and son, Charles Edward "Chuckie" Brown II.  In addition, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald, Ernest, Dennie, Champ, Ray, Emitt and Dock Little and her sisters, Geneva Crabtree and Ninis Beaty. 

Pallbearers to serve are Jeff Aldridge, Jim Aldridge, Ralph Robbins, James Robbins, Dale Beaty, and Mike Cannon. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church in Cookeville, TN.
