Funeral Services for Mr. Ovid Winningham, age 93 of Livingston, will be conducted Tuesday, August 31st, at 11 AM from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston. Bro. Russ Scott will officiate. Burial will be in the Overton County Memorial Gardens with military honors provided at graveside by the Overton County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will welcome friends on Monday evening from 5 until 8 PM. The Masonic Lodge Service will be conducted on Monday evening at 7 PM.
Ovid passed from this life on Thursday morning, August 26, 2021, from the Overton County Health and Rehab Center. He was born in Overton County on April 26, 1928, to the late Will A. and Fannie Willis Winningham. Ovid was a faithful Christian and a member at Memorial Baptist Church. He enjoyed meeting his friends at McDonald's, working around the house, and helping people any way he could. Ovid always loved reading his Bible.
Ovid leaves behind his loving wife Joy Seabolt Winningham of Livingston; sons Charles Winningham and wife Melanie of Hilham and Duane Winningham and wife Barb of Columbia; 12 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; brother Millard Winningham and wife Eva of Melvindale, Michigan; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Winningham was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children Billie Faye Wright Winningham; son Billie Glenn Winningham; sisters Zeffie, Ida, Audie, Ona, Mazy, Norma, Irma, Roxie, and an infant; and brothers Larence, Bernie, Willis, John, Elmer, Harlan, Clester, William, Earl Ray, and Junior.
Pallbearers to serve are Charles Winningham, Ben Winningham, Sam Winningham, Duane Winningham, Douglas Winningham, and Luke Winningham.
