Speck Funeral Home - Parrish Christopher Sells Obituary

In Loving Memory of Mr. Parrish Christopher "Tiger" Sells

Memorial services celebrating the life of Mr. Parrish Christopher "Tiger" Sells, age 55, of Monroe, were held on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at the chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston.

Parrish Chistopher Sells “ Tiger’ age 55 of Monroe, TN, formerly Mobile, AL gained his Stairway to Heaven on April 6, 2025, after a courageous hard-fought battle of Multiple Myeloma.

Tiger was born on a hot sunny day of May 15, 1969, to Terry and Jo Nell Sells in West Palm Beach, FL. After the family moved to Tulsa, OK, Tiger attended and graduated from Jenks East and went on to study partying and touring as a groupie with the Grateful Dead in Mom’s Chrysler LeBaron which she was not happy about.

After mom almost beat him to death for taking the car on a two-week journey, Tiger finally got his act together and graduated from University of South Alabama with a Political Science degree. It took him years to push through all the ups and downs of life, but he did it. Tiger was able to land a position at Trubridge where he was a software installer/client services and had a wonderful work family and manager named Chantale. She is super sweet, caring, and even took time out of her day to check in on Tiger weekly, even came to see him while visiting Nashville.

Tiger was an avid artist. He would paint and draw to ease his mind off of things and he made sure to leave us something behind. We always told him he should have worked for Disney, he was just that good. He loved to grow his garden, build things in his garage, love concerts, loved to fish, and he was quite the cook. Jambalaya was everyone’s favorite. He was a gentle giant. He loved, he cared, he would give you the shirt off his back. He was calm like our father and always put everyone first before himself. He never asked for help, and he never complained. He was one stubborn son of…… well, you get the point.

Tiger’s greatest love was his son Maddox. He would do anything for him, and he was a great dad. Tiger feared leaving him behind and he fought so hard to stay here with him. He always told Maddox that he loved him and he could do anything he put his mind to.

As this little note comes to an end, Tiger is survived by our mom who loves him dearly, his handful, protective little sister Courtney Raleigh, her husband James and niece and nephew Mackenzie and Ashton Raleigh and his son Maddox Sells. Many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins who we can’t thank enough for rallying around us during this time.

Tiger was preceded in death by our father Raymond Terry Sells, Grandparents Joe and Chrystel Sells, Varner and Euince Wright, Aunt Faye, Aunt Carole, Uncle John, Uncle Doug, and Aunt Joyce Ragland.

As our “ferocious” Tiger finally gets to rest in peace and comfort it’s only fitting to end with the thought of his Buddy Holly glasses, one eyebrow cocked up and him looking at you with a confused look thinking.… What a loooooong Strange Trip is Been~ Jerry Garica, Grateful Dead .

Officiated by Mr, Harold Smith. Family asks in lieu of flowers please donate to the multiple Myeloma Foundation or Leukemia & Lymphoma Society as they helped Tiger and many others with the financial burden of rare cancers.
