Speck Funeral Home - Perry H. Windle

Funeral Services for Mr. Perry H. Windle, Jr., age 87, of Livingston will be conducted 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2022, from the First Christian Church in Livingston.  Rev. James Shenko, and Bro. John Robbins will officiate.  Burial to follow in the Bethsaidia Cemetery, with Military Honors provided at the graveside by the Overton County Veterans Honor Guard.  The family will welcome friends on Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the First Christian Church.  

Mr. Windle passed from this life on Sunday evening, March 27, 2022, from his home in Livingston.  He was born in Nashville, Tennessee on June 23, 1934, to the late Perry H. Windle, Sr. and Ollie Keaton Windle.  A member of the First Christian Church, a member of the Livingston Masonic Lodge #259, a member of the VFW Livingston Post and the American Legion Post 4.  Perry was a 1952 graduate of Livingston Academy then a graduate of Tennessee Tech University receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree.  He was a United States Army Veteran, serving in the 2nd Armored Division, West Germany, from 1955-1957. Perry also graduated from the National Hardwood Lumber Association's Inspector Training School in Memphis.  He was a loving father, grandfather, fair and kindhearted person, who loved all animals.

Perry leaves behind his wife of 67 years Mrs. Onita McDonald Windle of Livingston, TN; sons, Chip Windle and wife Mary of Knoxville, TN, and John Mark Windle of Livingston, TN; grandchildren, Bradley Harris Windle, Stephanie Brown and husband Austin, David Rupe, and Debra Rupe.

In addition to his parents, Perry was preceded in death by his daughter, Mitzi Windle Rupe.
