Speck Funeral Home - Phillip L. Mayer

Funeral Services for Mr. Phillip L. Mayer, age 81, of Allons will be conducted 11 a.m., Monday, September 7, 2020 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.  Bro. John Keith will officiate.  Burial to follow in the Overton County Memorial Gardens.  The family will welcome friends on Sunday evening from 6 until 8 p.m., then on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. 

Mr. Phillip passed from this life on Thursday night, September 3, 2020 from the Livingston Regional Hospital.  He was born in West Frankfort, IL to the late Rollie, Sr. & Haydia Brooks Mayer.  Phillip was a member of the Allons Baptist Church.  He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and traveling.  His greatest joy was his family and spending time with them.

Phillip leaves behind his loving wife, Rosalie Birdsall Mayer of Allons, TN; son, Phillip Mayer, Jr. and wife Joyce of Fort Wayne, IN; daughter, Dawn Wogomon & husband Kirk of Millersburg, IN; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Phillip was preceded in death by his brothers, Rollie Mayer, Jr., and Delbert Mayer; sister, Zolonia Steffens.

Pallbearers to serve are Roger Mayer, Mike Mayer, Mason Mayer, Steven Mayer, Dell Estes, and Bruce Seber.
