Speck Funeral Home - Randy J. Walker Obituary

A Gathering of Family and Friends, celebrating the life of Mr. Randy Jay Walker, age 55, of the Big Springs Community will be on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m., from the Speck Funeral Home Chapel.

Randy passed from this life on Sunday morning, September 15, 2024.  He was born in Livingston, Tennessee on November 8, 1968, to the late Jerry Otis Walker and Nelie Jane Shields Perkins.  He was a 1987 graduate of Livingston Academy.  Randy devoted his life to his children, especially his late son Marcus.  He was known for being a very kind, and tender-hearted guy who was a great listener when you needed it.   He enjoyed the simple life, and just reflecting on life in general on the banks of Dale Hollow Lake.  Randy worked hard as a carpenter, and he enjoyed his dogs and helping animals.

Randy leaves behind his daughter, Megan Cobble and husband Levi of Monroe, TN; special friends, Michael Hunley of Hilham, TN, and Ronnie Barrett of the Buffalo Valley Community; sisters, Robbin Retallack and husband Rob of Cookeville, TN, and Becky Shropshire and husband Mike of Greenbrier, TN; aunts, Patricia Bates and husband Cameron of Hilham, TN, and Kathy Burgess of Nevada.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Walker; mother and stepfather Janie and Jim Perkins; his son, Marcus Walker and uncle and aunt, Charles and Lorene Walker.
